Pense (Joan Febrer Juan) Ciutadella de Menorca 07/27/1980. Doesn’t define himself as an artist. Instead, he just considers himself as “the one who’s always solving the creative problems, and troubles of others (the arists)”. “Whatever you want, I’ll make it, or I’ll find a solution to make it happen”. He says that he chose Fine Art because at that moment there weren’t any other intersting options, Eventhough he stills says that he’s not an artist, Pense has had extensive training within the Fine Atrs field.
He began his studies at “Escola d’Arts de Menorca” (The Fine Arts School of Menorca). When he finnished he then moved to Barcelona to study at “Escola d’arts i superior de Disseny Pau Gargallo” (School of Fine Arts and Superior of Design Pau Gargallo) where he specialized in sculpture. Soon after, he continued his studies at The University of Barcelona and here he earned his degree in Fine Art. It was there at UB where was awarded several grants, as well as a year long exhange at The Fine Arts University of Madrid, and a semester at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, in New York City. He also has ample work experience in the art world. He has worked with many artists (Robert Wilson, Ahmed Ogüt, Carles Congost, Bestué-Vives, ...) for some theatre companies, for television programes, in colaboration with several design companies (Coloco design, Dear Design), and lately he has been working with Learning Interactive Projects (Utani).
His life is a simple invention. He tries to be sincere and happy. He puts forth an effort to involve art in everything that surrounds him daily. He takes care never to rush anything he does, and he is always discriminate in never repeating any of same kinds of projects he has priorly done. The biggest inspriration he has lately is his wife Erinn O’Connor, who gives him never-ending support.
